What You Must Know To Pass POST UTME

Success is the only option
Welcome to today’s Inspirational  article on WHAT YOU MUST KNOW TO PASS POST UTME Screening Exercise.
NB: although this article may be long, believe me you will find it interesting and impacting. So grab a glass of chilled juice/water, sit back and take your time.
FIRSTLY,
TIK HUB  would like to congratulate and encourage every one of you for making it this far especially those of you taking this road for the very first time, I sincerely feel your pain and fatigue.
Although you are very close now, but you aren’t there yet so PLEASE do not RELENT.
MY QUOTE: A racer doesn’t celebrate till he crosses the finish line.
The much anticipated post-UTME is here and although many students are happy others are extremely terrified.

How has the return of post utme affected candidates?

Knowing fully well that majority of students in world do not enjoy writing exam, I will say that the return of post utme will be like a savior to both those who wouldn't have made it through the screening process adopted last session because of their poor WAEC/NECO results and those who wouldn’t have made it through as well because they had a very low jamb score.
So I will say that the return of POST UTME is GOOD NEWS for all.

Why are both parties still scared and terrified?

Like I earlier said, Knowing fully well that majority of students in world do not enjoy writing exams, this in itself has been a trend from time immemorial to see both the happy and scared ones. To some persons they see the examination as a medium to disprove the account of the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) as to their result. To others they see this as a trial to further prove their self-worth and surpass their existing record in JAMB.

Where does POST UTME QUESTIONS come from?

Well this is the most interesting part of this article because I believe your eyes are wide open now and you are already very anxious to know where the questions are coming from.
Quick Reminder: GAME OF THRONES still remains the best series!
Well A body known as the UNIVERSITY ADMISSION BOARD (UAB) which comprises of top PROFESSORS, H.O.D’s and DEANS of faculties are in total charge of the whole post utme and admission process.

So if your parents or guardian are in any of the above CATEGORIES, immediately you finish this article, YOU BETTER CARRY YOU BOOKS AND READ….LOL.
Majorly, post utme as well as jamb and most scholarship examination questions are gotten from question generating companies (Q.G.C) like DRAGNET and reviewed to standard by the UAB.
PROOF: In 2005, questions 11-17, 27-40 for physical sciences and engineering were all diction questions in use of English.Uniben repeated jamb 1987 passage D for arts and law for post utme 2005, JAMB 1978 Passage E was repeated for 2014 post utme arts and law.

A day or two to your Post utme Exam

Now this is like the most vital of all,
After reading for some months/weeks a lot of people get it so wrong when they decide to start learning new stuffs/topics a day or two to their exam.
This is called EXAMINATION SUICIDE.

NB: avoid those selfish people who because of their pocket, organize programs/classes a day or two to your exam.
They are agents of FAILURE.

FAQ: Do they really have questions or tips to offer?             Why do they wait till a day or two to your exam?
ANSWER: they have no knowledge of the questions but just like NAIRA BET they only predict. Using your future as ODDS.
They only wait till such time because they know how desperate candidates are that PERIOD.
Why am I so sure you may ask?
This is because I’ve been a victim before and I only came home that DAY tired with bulk of questions that didn't even have post utme FORMAT.

Danger Of Such Classes

  • You end up becoming lazy to do proper revision because you've been limited.
  • You become much stressed and fatigue because might eventually spend the whole day there.
  •  Your FEAR and tension increases because you will get to see things you've not read before and you become discouraged and lose HOPE.
  • You waste the most precious time of your life.
  • You lose MONEY.

What Post UTME Examination Looks Like

First let's come to the realization that both examination bodies employ different principles in structuring out their questions and this should thus tell us that they both require different reading habit and plan to surpass them.
POST UTME is a very direct examination that is comprised of two parts;
The English Language section and the General paper (which contains the 3 other subject you enrolled for in JAMB).

 The English language section

It contains 50 questions which has two comprehension passages, the antonyms and synonyms section and few other questions from other topics. On the other hand;

The General paper section

It has in most cases 40 questions and in other cases 50 questions shared across the 3 remaining subjects.
Let's develop a tactics as to how to write this exam and obtain success at the very end.

Ways on how to write your post UTME Examination

The English section is the most important part of the examination and should be treated as such. For first timers, on getting your examination paper don't just jump into writing,

first try to take a 1-2 minute pause time to quickly scan through the paper ( this period is essential as it help to calm the nerves and increase assimilation ).

After scanning calmly, start off with the comprehension passage and while reading this part ensure to have an overall view as to what the writer is trying to point out ( this can be achieved by placing yourself in the shoes of the writer) and then start off with the answers.
NB: There are times where you have two answers that look the same or both look correct, in this instance settle with your instinct. Don't worry your instinct is more than 89% accurate.
Don't waste your time on any question because in POST UTME time is of the essence (the stipulated time on the exam paper is 60 minutes but due to the number of people outside waiting for their turn u won't really be given that much time,
so set your mind that the examination will only span for a maximum of 30 minutes).

Attempt all the questions you are sure of before coming back to answer the rest.
Most importantly before the examination ensure that you are prepared as this is the final trial to your admission success.

Engrave yourself in past questions not just to cram them but use it as a guide to know how their questions are set and in what direction they are coming from.

TOP SECRET: proper practice of past questions will boost your speed increase your accuracy and build your confidence.

Lastly, before the examination ensure to pray (call your mum to join you  lol!) and remove fear from your mind...
Good luck to you All...

PLEASE SHARE TO WISH OTHERS WELL.
